The Salmon-A-Rama float in the Racine Fourth of July parade.
After three years as "The Big Fish Bash," Racine's largest annual fishing competition is returning to its original name. The move is part of the competition's transition back to a focus on fishing, and away from a festival with entertainment.
This year's Salmon-A-Rama features a $10,000 top prize and $250 per day for the largest "featured" fish.
The contest will be run by Salmon Unlimited Wisconsin, a Racine-based organization dedicated to the betterment of Lake Michigan, its fishing, tributaries and shoreline.
