Eat Right Racine's next meeting is this week. Here's the announcement from the group:
For our human body to function optimally, it needs to be aligned with the seasons and the environment where we live.

Please join us Thursday, October 1 from 6:30-7:45 to hear a presentation by Rose Skora, agriculture educator titled, "Seasonal and Local Eating."

The meeting will be held at the Eco-Justice Center, 7133 Michna Road (just off of 6 mile east of Douglas Ave/Hwy 32).

The event is free to the public. Invite your friends!

  1. They also have a liberal hidden agenda of supporting ObamaCare. If it were not for that - it would be a good program.

  4. I am a co-founder of Eat Right Racine and can assure you that we have no hidden agenda's.... actually am surprised at that comment. We are a group of caring people who want to help create a healthier community with the hope that it will create a ripple affect that keeps growing. We are about teaching sharing and learning.

  5. Heide - correct me if I am wrong, but your group paticipated in the ObamaCare march to Monument Square with pro ObamaCare signs - with Ryan Gleason leading the way, one of the most liberal guys around.

  6. Anony:
I think your confusion comes from this--
This summer, me (Amanda DeSonia) from Eat Right Racine,Ryan Gleason from C4C and Alderman Greg Helding all combined efforts to organize a Neighborhood Walk Program to encourage healthy lifestyles and build neighborhood relationships.

Eat Right Racine is not affiliated with any other organization or political movement. We are a grassroots movement that is focused on food, sustainability, and education.

  7. Amanda - were there any signs endorsing ObamaCare in your walk? Wasn't there two different factions on Monument Square when you got there?

When I got where? I don't follow what you are referring to. The walk program was a weekly program that was open to the whole community. Many C4C members were supportive of the Neighborhood Walk Program and attended weekly.
