It's three weeks before Thanksgiving, but Santa came to town tonight, riding a horse-drawn carriage in Racine's traditional holiday parade.
The Jolly Old Soul got a warm welcome, and lit Monument Square's magnificent Christmas Tree before heading back to the North Pole to finish his packing. Here are a few pictures from the parade.

Pete - nicely done! My family couldn't be there this year, so thank you for taking wonderful pictures.
ReplyDeleteIt was a nice, little parade. Everything seemed very "Christmasy" - except the Ivanhoe playing U2 music right ahead of Santa in a horse drawn carriage - what was up with that?

ReplyDeleteI thought that was a little weird, too. The Ivanhoe was just people drinking on a flatbed truck. Nothing says family and christmas like a mobile tavern.
