Racine Camera Club picks photo scavenger hunt winners

The winners of the Racine Camera Club's 2010 Photo Scavenger Hunt were chosen at the club’s first meeting of the programming year.

Winners in each category are: LEAF: (tie) Linda Peterson, Perry Rossmiller; HAPPY: Jason Madson; HUMAN SILHOUETTE: Linda Peterson; TRAVEL: Paul Oemig; WILDLIFE: (4-way tie) Mary Barrows, Tom Leih, Paul Oemig, Ron Morishita;  SUNRISE OR SUNSET: Perry Rossmiller; CLOUDS: Perry Rossmiller; FIREWORKS: Perry Rossmiller; FOOD: Tom Leih;  GLASS: Linda Peterson. We've posted most of them below.

The photographs will be posted on the club’s website, www.racinecameraclub.com. The RCC meets the second Thursday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Racine Arts Council, 316 Sixth St. Another competition will take place at the Oct. 14 meeting.

  2. Beautiful photos, but I'm confused. In Perry Rossmiller's "Sunrise", the shot was clearly taken facing west. Optical illusion or does the sun now rise in the west?

  4. Perry's sunset was an entry for the Sunrise/Sunset category. It is just mislabeled.

  6. How does someone go about joining the club or even entering photos? I have a bunch of photos that I would have loved to have entered the competition with.
