More than 250 attended Saturday's photo exhibition, "My View of Things," at Northern Lights Gallery downtown, which included works by five photographers: Mila Samokhina, Joe Barr, Craig Brandt, William Bruce and Judith Pannozo.
Three awards were given, with Pannozo winning both the Judge’s Choice and the Peer Award, and Bruce receiving the People’s Choice Award. Both are from Racine. They received ribbons and cash prizes. Each of the photographers' five entries will be displayed in the gallery for one week and Pannozo’s for the next month.
Judges were Carthage student Stacey Rosenwinkel and gallery owners Pam and Jack Viroglio.
This was the first of three shows Rosenwinkel will curate during her internship at Northern Lights. The next show will be held on Gallery Night, July 18, and will feature the work of oil painter Joan Stanich of Kenosha; the last will be in August when work by Marian College Art Professor Anna Pagnucci will be shown.
