The seemingly endless railroad overpass project that's closed the intersection of Highway 11 and Sheridan Road for the better part of 18 months is coming to an end.
Work on the Union Pacific Railroad bridge and retaining wall is scheduled to be complete next month. Crews started the $7 million project in May 2008.

Yes and???
ReplyDeletegood god... finally.
ReplyDeleteCould somebody please fix the Mound Avenue bridge. I hate driving under that thing.
ReplyDeleteWhen this is complete the DOT and Mount Pleasant will be working on Hwy 32 from Larson, north to 21st street. Slow driving ahead.
ReplyDeleteYou'd think that for $7 mil. the bridge would have been painted instead of rusty steel. Oh well, it may not look nice but at least the road will be open again.
ReplyDeleteNot a moment too soon. I really believe they drag these projects out all season.
ReplyDeleteState St. is driving me nuts. There is no detour. If you need to go left you are screwed. You cannot turn left before State and end up miles out of your way. Lets hurry up and get this done.
ok when is it actually going to open????its been long enough! they can get hwy 38 done in a few months and this project takes almost 2 years!!!
