Positive review on 'Factory of Fear' plus DeKoven Center's Haunted Halloween

Ready for action at the Factory of Fear

Looking for a good scare this Halloween? We're told the Factory of Fear at 615 S. Marquette St. is putting on a good show this year. (Read the JT story about the siblings who put together the haunted factory here.)

Two people who braved the factory

Here's a review:
Myself and a few friends decided to check out this haunted house in Racine. What a great time! They put a lot of work into the setup inside and the actors were fantastic. Tons of people lined up to get their share of scares. I don't want to spoil anything but the ladies in our group were screaming the whole time and running for their lives by the end.

Admission was $12.50 and parking was free. The night I went was definitely for adults, but I was told they have a family friendlier night that doesn't have the actors - just the setup.

I'll send over some pics from the crowd. You should check it out!
Long lines to pay $12.50 to go through the Factory of Fear at 615 S. Marquette St. in Racine.

Rules on the website say no children under 10 years old are allowed, and anyone between 10 and 15 years old needs adult supervision.

Shows run this week from Wedneday to Saturday, 7 p.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 7-10 p.m. No one under 18 years old is allowed in after 11 p.m.

Haunted Halloween at the DeKoven Center

The DeKoven Center is getting into the Halloween spirit with a Halloween Ball and haunted tours for adults and children.

The ball is Saturday from 8 p.m. to midnight and includes a live DJ, costume contest, three drinks, finger food and admission to the adult haunted tour, all for $20. The price drops to $10 after 10 p.m. and includes two drinks.

The haunted tour for kids runs from 6-8 p.m. and is $5 per person. It's recommended for kids 12 and under.

The haunted tour for adults is 8-10 p.m. and is also $5 per person.
