RAMAC endorses Handrow, Hargrove, Wiser for Unified

RAMAC has endorsed Pamala Handrow, Melvin Hargrove, and Dennis Wiser for the Racine Unified School Board. The election will be held along with Wisconsin's presidential primary, on Tuesday, Feb. 19.

The RAMAC members who interviewed the candidates included: Eric Peterson, VP of Landmark Title and co-owner of Henry and Wanda’s; Jeff McKeown, President of Express Personnel; Scott Kelly, President of Johnson Bank-Racine; Chip Brewer, Director of Worldwide Government Affairs, SC Johnson and Son; Denise Wilcox, VP of Human Resources, Twin Disc; and Carol Barkow, Director of Community Partnerships at RAMAC.

  1. Dennis Wiser? Do we really want the former head of Racine's teacher's union -now representing the tax payers on our school board? Isn't like the fox watching the hen house?

  2. Are you kidding? It's not a matter of wanting him, we need him! Not only is Dennis Wiser a tax payer just like you anonymous, he has been in the position of
    teacher(working with students and parents),union representative
    (working with many levels of staff and understanding building conditions), and head of the teacher's union(working with teachers, principals and administration at the highest levels at central office). What a wonderful concept to have a school board member with all that insight to bring to the table to benefit all!
