Update, 2/12: The Journal Sentinel reports that Sen. John McCain plans to visit Milwaukee Friday night, attending the Reagan Day Dinner sponsored by the Milwaukee County Republican Party.
No official announcement from McCain's campaign yet, but that's the word from Rep. Paul Ryan, R-WI, 1st District: The Republican front-runner, heir apparent, John McCain will be campaigning in the state on Friday.
Ryan is fully prepared to endorse his party's nominee. "It'll take a little fence-mending, but the party will be united," he said.
Although McCain lost in Kansas and Louisiana this weekend to Mike Huckabee, he is far ahead in delegates: 719 to 234. McCain needs 1,191 delegates to win the Republican nomination.
