  1. It was a well done event. Everyone seemed to have a good time. It attracted a lot of participants. People were cheering the participants on at every intersection. It didn't seem to tie up traffic. The conditions couldn't have been better.

  2. I thought it was very organized and the organizers were careful not to create huge traffic issues like some of the other races in the area. When I was running it was well marked and the police and volunteers did a great job. Thanks to all and I am sure I will be joined by a lot more runners next year.

  4. If there is a 2nd annual event, do not schedule the run on the same day as the long time Badgerland Strider Half Marathon. The South Shore Half attracted 836 runners at a cost of $10 ($8 if a BLS member) for the certified course event. The Mt. Pleasant event cost for the participant was $60 ($50 if registered very early). I have not been able to locate the certification number for the Mt. Pleasant Half - the South Shore cert. number is 06105 http://www.wiusatf.org/about/courses.asp

I cannot believe that participants paid $60 for a non-certified course. This is important for those attempting to qualify for seedings in triathlons, marathons (Chicago for example).

The feedback for the Mt. Pleasant was terrific and great PR for the Racine area!
