Keep an eye on Caledonia the next two days. And check out Mark Bellings afternoon show 2-1 which was on today.
ReplyDeleteMcCalvy is SINKING
I don't know when it went up, but I saw yesterday that Harborfest announced it has cancelled the fest for this year. http://harborfest.org/
ReplyDeleteNot really too big of news but the Yellow Rose restaurant downtown is closing
ReplyDeleteDustin - I heard that two service employees at Racine Unified got into a fist fight while on duty at a school this past week (plumber vs electrician). Both were suspended WITH pay indefinitely.
ReplyDeleteI know its easier to pull the winning lottery numbers out of a hat than get a straight answer from Unified, but can you investigate? If true, I find it terrible that they are both still receiving pay and were not terminated that day.
It'd help to know what school. Please send me an email at: dustin.block@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI was corrected today - this altercation took place at Central Office. One individual is named "Wesley" and the other is "Pierce".
ReplyDeleteThis might make a good story. Look into this shady company called Vector Marketing that has taken up residence in the US Bank building on Washington. Shady to the utmost. Causing problems for people all over the country for a long time now.
ReplyDeleteDustin - since Racine Unified went to 4 day work weeks have any cost savings been realized? I (and many others) would be interested to see how much money has actually been saved since this program started.
ReplyDeleteI have received an email saying there is public opposition to the new LGBT center proposed for Racine. Apparently there will be protesters at the city council meeting tomorrow (12/16).
ReplyDeleteNo state jobs lost ?? Read the Kenosha News about the state travel information center closing in April.
ReplyDeleteI was Jose's Blue Sombrero last night and played Team Trivia (??). I think a story about that may be a good idea, we were among about 60other people playing, and seems to be quite popular in the area.
ReplyDeleteThat article on Sebastian's was fun!
ReplyDeleteDear Dustin and Pete, I hope there'll be more food articles like the one you wrote about the dinner at Sebastian's.
ReplyDeleteDear Dustin and Pete, Regarding that SCJ Spanish website, somebody used the wrong verb. If you wanted to say "it's here," you'd have to use the verb "estar" instead of "ser." So, instead of "es aqui," the short sentence should read "esta aqui." (Please ask any native speaker or Spanish teacher. Believe me, I wasn't trying to offend anyone.)
