Fortunately, the board members took it upon themselves to inspect the laundry. It took courage to take a stand against a few people making negative public statements, inspect the laundry, and then, make a decision counter to the opinion offered by a few self proclaimed experts. And as Supervisor Gaynell Dyess said "I went there expecting something entirely different. I was pleased with what I saw."

6 members of the board, and, Ridgewood administration and the infectious control nurse (the true experts) all inspected and voted to use SHL. I invited others to inspect our facility and they declined. If these “seemingly interested parties” want to ensure the county's linen provider is good enough to meet "seemingly elevated standards" perhaps they could meet with us and watch as we take their suggestions seriously.

Racine County officials (and Kenosha County officials before them) faced down negative public commentary, did their research, and, made the right decision to use a company (SHL) that is a proven provider of high quality linens and service and is priced right.

The healthcare industry faces new infectious "bugs" every day. All aspects of the healthcare industry evolve to meet the customers' demands to receive high quality and safe care.

As standards and technology in the laundry industry change SHL will adapt to ensure we continue to provide hygienic, high quality linens, protecting the residents and patients of all our customers as well as our customers' employees and employees of SHL.

With regard to HLAC, we filed an application in 2006 to be inspected. I was hired in 2006 and felt other things needed to be addressed before we went through the rigorous process of completing a voluntary inspection by a nongovernmental entity. HLAC is an important council in our industry -and we are pleased with their participation in validating our expertise in processing healthcare laundry.

Thank you for your time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5583157134881112619.post-42538470254383548062008-07-29T08:47:00.000-05:002008-07-29T08:47:00.000-05:00I sure hope that District 14 Supervisor Michael J....I sure hope that District 14 Supervisor Michael J. Miklasevich, does a better job oversee Ridgewood then he does with His Slum properties say at 233 Howland or 245/7 Jones in Racine. He has many other properties all about the same( IMHO)
I do not know what I worry about more the lack of basic upkeep or the tennets he allows to live there.
Got like seeing the Gang members coming out of those homes and the Rats the four legged kind long tailsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5583157134881112619.post-6723741674266704042008-07-29T00:01:00.000-05:002008-07-29T00:01:00.000-05:00"These are not red bugs you can see"As usual, Lang..."These are not red bugs you can see"

As usual, Lange is not making much sense.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
