As a nine year old kid, he was there on the morning of Dec. 7, 1941 and recalls how they stopped the movie and a man came to the front of the theater to announce that Pearl Harbor had been attacked. The wreckers left a gaping hole in the wall and we walked right inside where I pulled out a couple of the fancy seats. They were like fine furniture, embroidered with hardwood edging. Wonderful treasure. So sad that city leaders thought it was a good idea to destroy such a landmark.
